Noises Off is one of the funniest farces of all times. It depicts the onstage and backstage antics of a fifth-rate acting troupe performing in an awful farce named Nothing On where men drop their pants and pretty women run around in their undies. Early Morning Line Practice!

Good afternoon, my sweets!

This morning I woke up bright and early to rehearse my lines. Well, I always run through my lines every morning so that those words won't escape my head! Darling this, darling that ... this is indeed a compelling play.

The rehearsal space smells of whisky and I sense romance in the air.

I love when I can feel a buzz cooking up. We've got ourselves some scuttlebutt!

Don't forget to drink 1.9 litres of water everyday.

Lloyd Dallas to Direct Nothing On

The Grand Theatre is pleased to announce that Lloyd Dallas has agreed to direct the season's opener, Nothing On. Dallas says "I'm thrilled to be back in Naniamo, one of my favourite cities, and I am looking forward to working with my fabulously talented cast". When asked what would be the biggest challenge of the show Dallas quipped, "sardines". I actually hate the little beggars. But the show rises and falls on them.

Joining Dallas is Selsdon Mowbray, best known for his starring role in Arsenic and Old Lace. Dottie Otley, fresh from Saskatoon, will play the hilarious role of Mrs. Clackett. Gracing the stage is the lovely Belinda Blair as Flavia Brent and newcomer, bombshell Brooke Ashton joins the cast as the vacuous Vicky. Dallas says "don't miss Garry Lejeune and Frederic Fellows" who team up for the second time following their great success in "Who Was That Clown?".
